Linda S. Remensnyder, Au.D., Doctor of Audiology, was the first Doctor of Audiology in the State of Illinois. She was recently honored to have her Audiologic Rehabilitation Classes and Patient Empowerment profiled in the Better Hearing Institute's Audiologists Changing Their Communities series. In 2010, Dr. Remensnyder was appointed to the HLAA/AAA Joint Get in the Hearing Loop Task Force due to her personal involvement in facilitating the placement of Hearing Loops in > 25 venues in Lake County. HLAA (Hearing Loss Association of America) is the nation's largest organization representing individuals with hearing loss and AAA (the American Academy of Audiology) is a professional association comprised of audiologists. In April of 2011 she was awarded the Presidential Honors Award for her outstanding contributions to her patients as well as to the profession of audiology. Dr. Remensnyder founded Hearing Associates, P.C. in 1980 and has been providing superior hearing health care to individuals living in the Libertyville and Gurnee area since opening. Services include: full diagnostic audiologic testing, dispensing of digital hearing aids, hearing aid checks and servicing, hearing assistive technology (HATs), videonystamography (balance assessment), tinnitus evaluation and treatment, hearing screening for infants
